A small park just outside Johnston center. It has three different walking paths that circle the pond and nearby woods. The park also has sporting fields for kids, including baseball, tennis, basketball, soccer, and a running track. It’s a popular place to bring kids of all ages and get them involved with town-sponsored sporting leagues.
A 1,000-acre recreation area with walking & hiking trails, a working farm, and a popular wild tulip farm. Snake Den is by far the best place for outdoor hikes and mountain biking in Johnston. It’s also full of wildlife and unique species of animals and plants.
Located in Snake Den Farm, this unique farm grows more than 600,000 tulips during the spring season and allows visitors to pick them! It’s only open for a short period (April — May) but it’s a one-of-a-kind experience you shouldn’t miss.
