Getting Around...

Transportation

I-95 runs directly through the eastern section of West Greenwich and Route 102 cuts through the middle. That said, unless you’re an avid biker, having a car is necessary to get around here. If you live near the Connecticut border and commute to Providence, it’ll be a 30 – 40 min ride.

Route 138A: leads south from route 138 towards Purgatory Road, First Beach, and Second Beach. Very useful as a means to reach the southernmost parts of Newport without having to travel through downtown.
